The Woodmere Village Fire Department was formed in 1963 by the residents of the village. The department started
as a volunteer department and has now grown into a part-time paid department. The department is staffed around the clock
by a 3 man crew that is able to respond to all fire and ems emergencies.
There is only one station in the village, it houses three peices of apparatus. Engine 1, Tower 1 and Squad 1.
The department takes pride in offering around the clock ALS ambulance service.
